I joined Laura Tinetti and Joe V. for The AI Evolution of Retail, hosted by Alim Uderbekov with JLL during SF Tech Week in October 2026.

The conversation explored the repeatable work behind retail real estate and what gets in the way of adopting AI. The host’s recap brings together the panel’s perspectives on change management, the decisions before a store opens, and the relationships that still matter.

One point I raised: as people experience more capable AI in their personal lives, the friction at work becomes harder to ignore. If a personal agent can coordinate a trip, a long email chain to resolve a routine question starts to feel less inevitable.
